Arizona-Voice.com
Arizona-Voice.com was created for voice teacher Cyndi Flores of Gilbert, Arizona. Cyndi,
an accomplished opera singer, wanted to expand her work-from-home teaching business by reaching new students
via a website.
The site was created completely in Flash CS3 and features some really nice, fluid animation. Since Cyndi’s musical background revolves around opera and classical Italian arias, we chose colors that would impress the feeling of a Tuscan Italian atmosphere. Additionally, we used sheet music as the main background and aged/color-matched the image with Photoshop CS3.
With 20+ students and recitals twice a year, we felt it appropriate to add a phpbb forum to the site so that students can communicate with each other, recital videos can be added and a multitude of music resources can be easily accessed.
The site currently ranks #3 on Google under the terms “Arizona voice.” Our goal is to rank in the top ten of Google’s organic results under “voice lessons Arizona” and “Arizona voice,” a challenge for a flash site. Recently we added key-word rich text to the home page for access to browsers that do not have a flash player installed. The idea is to give something to the robots that is not locked up in a swf flash file.
